Banners/Summoning

In this gacha, summons are done with an item called Secret Fate , and Hope Luxites which are the main F2P currency of the game and can be found everywhere and can also be converted into Secret Fates.
When you first summon, you will notice a selection of Tarot cards presented before you and that can be interacted with. However, you may be relieved to hear this is purely cosmetic, and the actual choice of Tarot Card has no effect on the summons themselves.

In SoC, banners are divided into different categories. Each banner has their own exclusive pity and different rates to receive a featured unit. Below we will go into each of them.
Debut : All new units start off as Debut banners. All Debut banners are solo, but not all debut banners are new units. They have started recently returning older units with solo debut banners, usually when they have a skin or alter form released at the same time. 50% chance for a legendary to be the debut unit. Hard pity of 180
Dual : Two units featured on a banner, with a 75% chance that the SSR pulled will be one of the two
Standard : No featured unit and no hard pity. Pulls from the entire pool. Interestingly any new debut unit is immediately added to the pull on release, meaning it is possible to pull a new unit if you were to summon on a standard banner. However you should NOT pull on the standard banner, ever, unless you are rerolling
Selective : You select from a semi restricted pool of units and any SSR pulled from the banner is 100% guaranteed to be one of the two. Selective are generally very rare occurrences.
It is important to note, while each banner type has independent pities, each hard pity type carries over within the same banner type to the next banner. With the exception of Selective. So if you fail to get a debut unit in 180 pulls in Debut and Dual, it will remain into the next Debut/Dual respectively.
Also, there are two forms of Universal soft pity in SoC. Notice below, I am 169 away from a Hard pity guarantee for Flavia.

If I go into “History” I see a current “Guarantee(Any Type)”. This is the Universal Soft pity that applies to all banners and does not reset until you get an SSR. Soft pity is set at 100 unlike hard pity of 180. Players should learn to properly manage the difference between their Hard and Soft pity. By this, I mean..
Ex: Let’s say you have 50 pulls until hard pity on debut, and 45 pulls for Universal pity. You decide to use 45 pulls on the Debut banner and you trigger the guaranteed SSR. In the 50/50, you got the Debut! The problem here is that you could've gotten 2 SSRs, one random, and one debut guaranteed if you decided to use 44 instead on the debut, then spend 1 pull on a standard or dual banner. This would have triggered universal pity, but kept the debut Hard pity since you didn't get the Debut. Then all you needed to do was spend 6 pulls to reach 50 on the Debut banner and gotten another SSR!
FAQ: What banner should I pull on, and who should I save for?
A: While usually it’s the debut banner you want to summon on, always check whether the current Debut unit is high on our Tier list(at LEAST T1), and check with others to see if the next few upcoming units are more significant or not. Good dual banners tend to be uncommon, but there are cases where the debut is terrible and the dual is good. Make sure to evaluate all your choices properly and plan ahead.
