"K" Units
| Kianshir | Stars | Tier: 1 Ascension:❌ | Rationale |
![]() | Can Stop | ⭐⭐⭐ | Starts battle with 12 lib stacks gives his 10% Atk and he now recovers 1 nrg and 4 Liberation stacks summons are attacked and his start of battle summon respawns every 3 turns |
| Recommended | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | His summon that he spawns at the start will respawn every 2 turns. Starts the fight with 20 lib stacks he gets ATK 3/DMG 2 from 4*+. 5* When his summons get hit he recovers 2 nrg instead of 1 and gains 8 Liberation stacks instead of 4. Also boost his PATK by up to 40% in battle |
| Role/Faction | ![]() DPS Summoner/Defensive support |
| Reasoning | Kianshir is a more practical and less restrictive unit summoner with clear improvements from Acambe. There is less stress in attempting to MIN MAX them with buffs as Kianshir provides the necessary offensive buffs himself. Various parts of his kit provide himself with Liberation stacks and passives that modify the intended role of the way his summons are utilized. Overall, he outputs solid and consistent AoE DPS while offering some potential unit swap utility, but otherwise has a limited offensive ST ceiling. Kainshir is also an excellent ST tank with his summons being able to swap with teammates and soak in whatever attack is excellent for harder content where it's realistic to live but he's the only key. Edit: 5/20/2026. Kianshir's lack of abuse ceilings and reserved balance between offensive/defense makes him a safe skip for most people unless you missed Yserinde and still want a source of the [Deflection] buff. However it is likely better to simply forgo that utility in the short run and invest into the Luccia arc, as many of the units then offer a more consistently higher value |
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| Summons inherent 100% of his off field Atk. also They inherit ATK, DMG, CRIT, & CRIT DMG up to lvl 3 series Buffs from him. self-sufficient at higher stars 3+ thanks to giving himself nrg and Liberation stacks if conditions are met which are pretty easy. leader aura buffs summons DMG by 20% And All liberation havers will get 20% crit / 10% crit dmg lvl 3 debuff in the form of Crit down lvl 3 Is able to provide team-wide deflection and summons have up to 4 tiles of body swap cover for more defensive capabilities. Can make 2 Immortal summons with the help of a passive skill. Is the best (Shattered shackles Vul debuff) debuff appliers which gives 30% vul to all Elamen After attacking, the summons can trigger a sort of damaging effect on nearby allies that can trigger their reaction skills, which can proc stuff like Yegane’s summon. | Suffers the same form of summon economy punishment as Acambe where his ability to summon new units is penalized if they die directly from the enemy unless you equip a specific passive OR trigger one of his core skills which has its own opportunity cost/downside. Undyling Iron and Assist Edict have 3 cd will need a cd lowering unit |
| Skills | Reasoning | |
| Rank 11 | ![]() Edict Absolute (castalia) Commander in Chief | Aura pretty much a must slot on all builds; it's a free 15% crit/crit dmg and 20% summon damage booster. Gain 4 Liberation stacks and 1 nrg when you dont have any every turn. Provides Unlimited resolve to 2 of his summons which is very helpful for triggering kianshir trait + secondary passive of giving kianshir nrg + more Liberation stacks. |
| Rank 9 | Invigorating Strike extra | Ranged basic attack that gives +1 nrg on hit. |
| Rank 7 | ![]() Undying Iron march (Could castalia) Assist Edict | Deal 100% St phy dmg debuffs mdef/def down 2 and summons up to 3 Immortal Corpse when having 20 Liberation stacks. This move does up to 360% thanks to summons triggering two times. Great move to max out (shatter the shackles) debuff. Great for a defensive playstyle gives allies MDEF 2 / PDEF2 and debuffs the mobs with ATK 2 down and CRIT 3 down. While having 10 Liberation stacks gives DMG RES 2 and Deflection to all allies, it also boosts the range at which summons can switch-cover to 4 tiles. At 20 Liberation stacks summons 3 immortal where the allies are at which can tank a hit for them. |
| Rank 5 | Ironclad Guard | Solid |
| Rank 3 | ![]() Wargame Formation Imperial Doomguard (Could castalia) | This can forcibly trigger and reposition your summons and can act as a tool to give kianshir self-sufficientness outside of Elaman team ( at 5 stars ) thanks to summons when not near enemies giving stacks of Liberation + his trait at high stars. The summons now move for themselves can be pretty ok for auto play but dont rely on it. If your mainly using kainshir as Dps its ok to use this skill. |
| Rank 1 | Desert warrior | Whatever take it for the hp% |
| Base Skill & Trait Skill | Campaign Edict | Trait skill - Instant Summon 1 Subordinate Passive Effect: When using this skill, the user receives 1 stack of Manpower shortage ( nrg cost of this skills goes up per stack till 4 stacks) |
| Loadout | Skills | Notes |
| Offensive Set up (ST) | ![]() | Bread and butter dps set up. pretty solid has aoe and st mixed in. |
| Hybrid set up needs high stars or Elaman team to support. | ![]() | This just a mix of both worlds can be used when you want some dps with defensive coverage. The only downside is it costs a lot of liberation so it's best to use it in the elaman team . |
| Liberation sustain + automation | ![]() | Makes his summons automatically charge at enemies and deal AoE damage while also freeing Kianshir to basic attack instead of manually activating their AoE abilities, granting him +1 NRG sustain outside of using his 3 CDR skill. Covers a more broader AoE area |
| Defensive block swap NRG/Lib Stacks | ![]() ![]() | This setup relies on enemies attacking them to trigger their AoE, making it good for NRG/Lib generation from both the passive and trait and since the summons will stay on the field longer, they can be utilized to block swap |

| Best⭐ | Kianshir Sig | Will give the biggest dmg boost over all. But it's a bad sig to even get so dont really pull for it.. | ||
| Optional 1 | Newborn Blade | Best option for non sigs. | ||
| Optional 2 | Nocturne glow | Best support sword and he can use it on his defensive build. | ||
| Trinket | ||||
| Best | ![]() ![]() Memory of Teeth/SoJ/Hourglass | Any stat stick works best. | ||
| Usable | Book | Pure support good for his speed tier | ||
| Tarots | ||||
| Best | Devil | Best only because devil is one of the few tarots where you would actually want to get all four lines of PATK so it would boost his off-battle stats which boost his summons dmg. | ||
| Best | Fortune | Gives nrg recovery + pairs well with nocturne glow | ||
| Best | Empress | Provides dispel using his support skills | ||
| Engraving | ||||
| Best | (Standard) | Stats | ||
| Optional | (Support) | Helps to reset his cd | ||
| Best | (DPS) | Best for his summon dps as sword has the highest PATK roll potential (up to 20% + 150) | ||
| Unit/Skill/Buff Interactions | ||
![]() | Triggers his trait meaning free lib and nrg stacks
![]() | Enables him to leave elaman team if played right
| Date | Comments/Retrospection/Examination |
| Kianshir is one of the new best summoners, hosting barely any restrictions on his summoning conditions when compared to other summoners. He provides a new leader aura for Discipline and can be played in many ways, either as a bulky, defensive support boasting Deflection for all party members and body cover on his summons or an AOE/ST damage setup which does pretty respectable damage. He's very smooth to play at higher stars (4+) and is self-sufficient in NRG and Liberation stacks. |
| Kiya | Stars | Tier: Fun R13: ❌ | Rationale |
![]() | Can Stop | ⭐⭐⭐ | 3 stars reduces cooldowns of all skills by 1 turn on defeating an enemy |
| Recommended | ⭐⭐⭐ | All her function is realized at 3 stars. 5 stars simply adds 10% hp, 2 infection stacks applied on attacks, and 20% DMG when injured/dying |
| Role/Faction | ![]() ![]() ![]() Phys+Piercing DPS / Utility |
| Reasoning | Kiya, like Shacklulu, is a free option from the upcoming mission system. Unlike Shack, Kiya can still deal respectable damage at low stars, and is largely complete at 3 stars compared to Shack who needs 5 stars. Kiya also offers unique support utilities, but these options are unfortunately not very impactful in general play, and her clear focus on ST in both damage and support leaves her feeling lacking in total contribution. She does have a unique [temporary leaves battle] mechanics (“During the leave, time stops, NRG does not naturally recover, and skill CDs, buffs, debuffs, etc. do not change.”) which gives her very interesting synergy with powerful buffs. |
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| Can hit Agata levels of hp 20%trait+15 passive Can grant [Unyielding] to self no limit 5 Movement base as a destroyer Can deal pretty solid ST damage without requiring shard investment She's a free unit Has unique mechanics that lets her skip end turn sequence and keep all the buffs (including Inna Sp act again stance and Safi Sp assault order) | All support buffs/debuffs are ST Most of her support capabilities are relatively non-essential and more so leans in convenience Damage isn’t good enough to be compared to true ST DPS units and her total damage output is fairly low due to being ST(Doomsday Dance doesn't count) Her trait damage calculation is based on how much HP lost that turn instead of how much is missing, meaning you have to constantly refuel her HP and sacrifice it to improve damage |
| Skills | Reasoning | |
| Rank 11 | Table Knife | Can proc trait multiple times and suppress passive skills |
| Rank 9 | Feverish Attack | Either basic works, but Feverish helps sustain her HP. |
| Rank 7 | ![]() Soul-Calming Soup(Can castalia) Crimson Covenant | Soul-Calming is a useful Instant cheese skill as it can apply healing reversal and potentially a 2 turn Sleep. Crimson Covenant is Kiya’s strongest skill and has a unique [temporary leaves battle] mechanic. The extension of buff duration can be combined with Inanna SP’s act again and/or Pursuit Order |
| Rank 5 | Hatred | Solid DR when [Injured], which is easily done due to her self sacrifice of HP on skill costs, and it applies to both ranged and melee unlike “Defense”. The application of Scars of Resentment is also convenient |
| Rank 3 | ![]() Unforgettable Memories Maid’s Instinct(Can castalia | Unforgettable Memories is a great instant healing skill for Kiya and an ally on top of granting “[Unyielding]”, which is unusual and great for a support. Maid’s Instinct increases her HP, making it a great third skill to maximize piercing damage and her bulk, as well as offering a utility to clear annoying tiles. |
| Rank 1 | Paralytic Touch | Neither skill is commonly used. Paralytic touch has more practical niche use if Kiya is at higher stars and is probably more preferable if you want the ability to apply Sleep and a fairly large amount of infection stacks. Good synergy with her Table Knives |
| Loadout | Skills | Notes |
| General | ![]() | In general play, I would take Maid’s Instinct or Table Knives as a third slot. |
| Weapons | ||||
| Option 1 | Newborn Blade | Raw HP/P.ATK for more piercing | ||
| Option 2 | Void Stab | Stronger focus on direct damage and higher damage on Crimson Covenant | ||
| Option 3 | Frostspine Claw | More niche but higher payoff when moving prior to dealing damage | ||
| Trinket | ||||
| Best | breath concealing ring | Provides the highest P.ATK for Kiya | ||
| Usable | ![]() Crystal burst/Hourglass | HP with Crystal burst or P.ATK with Hourglass | ||
| Tarots | ||||
| Best | Fools | High HP with some DMG% makes for the best tarot on Kiya | ||
| Optional 1 | Justice | Combined with Void Stab for a crit setup | ||
| Optional 2 | ![]() Death/Devil | both focus on amplifying piercing | ||
| Engraving | ||||
| Best | ![]() | Provides higher bulk/piercing and important Damage reduction | ||
| Option 2 | ![]() | Generic stats | ||
| Unit/Skill/Buff Interactions | ||
| Keeps buffs when disappearing off field using “Crimson Covenant” | Can be used to keep 1 time buffs and use them again next turn like Inna Sp act again or Saff sp assault order | |

| Kvare | Stars | Tier: 2 Ascension: ✔️ | Rationale |
![]() | Can Stop | ⭐ or ⭐⭐⭐ | No mechanic is locked behind stars. Given his strength as a unit more investment is always good. If you are tight in the shard slots or have characters who absolutely need stars, those are fine stop points. |
| Recommended | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | The total per turn output of total Roster casts goes from 80% to 180% by unlocking an additional cast and and a full refund of one cast results in improved downtime DPS. Also the full NRG refund unlocks the practical use of the ST build with Conviction, which can deal 260% ST against rostered targets at 2 NRG a turn which is more sustainable than 3 a turn at 3 stars and slightly less damage |
| Role/Faction | ![]() ![]() ![]() Aoe Magic/Piercing/DoT DPS/Support |
| Reasoning | Kvare has occupied a premier mobbing role for the better part of SoC’s lifespan thanks to the widespread coverage of Rain + Wither. However DoT itself has largely been niche and used primarily as a form of efficient mobbing due to high offensive returns at minimal investment and ignoring defense/mutations. Being the most efficient user of Nightmare puppet to increase piercing damage taken and his own application of Piercing Vuln 2 through “Rain”, Kvare is the leading unit that pairs with and improves all other DoT/Piercing units. Kvare’s other function in this niche has been enabling ST DoT nukes through Wrath of Thunder, which triggers the damage of applied DoTs without removing them, allowing a substantially superior total output. This however has only ever been applied in relationship with Luvata. As of SP Samantha’s banner in TW, Kvare has lost some priority as a first pick for mobbing due to SP Samantha’s extreme potential for clearing when paired with relevant Aggression faction allies. However he remains among the top picks in both ToA and general play. As of very recently, TW has released a new series of Tarots; one of which is designed for DoTs and mildly improved his performance. While overall it is clear he still remains a top tier unit, Kvare’s place in the meta in the future will likely depend on the continued support and introduction of new DoT/Piercing units/buffs, which we will continue to keep an eye on. |
| Post Ascension | Sadly kvare’s future potential has been killed off with this nothing burger ass ascension. The only notable useful thing is that he got more magic attack. let's pay some respect to Kvare R.I.P 7/6/26 |
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| Massive AoE Piercing/DoT mobbing Good turn value thanks to no cost instant support skills from “Kvare’s Collection” Can buff piercing up to 35% with Signature + Rain(affected by Roster) Can inflict lvl 2 debuff easily Able to force trigger DoTs through “Rain” or “Wrath of Thunder” Ignores shields with Piercing/DoT Effective even at low stars without requiring other units to support him Very long range of abilities (5 Range Roster, 6 Range Rain) Plays well with Credenza Very stable from 3-5 star due to improved downtime through “Roster” casts | 3cd on Rain Low elevation on rain and will of victory Will of victory being rotational & 1 usage can disrupt his stable dmg |
| Skills | Reasoning | |
| Rank 11 | ![]() Moment for Rain Wither(castalia) | You run both skills together |
| Rank 9 | Silencing Attack | 1 Infection stack is largely meaningless and “Silencing Attack” provides 3% hp |
| Rank 7 | Arcane Toxins | Only for the 3% HP |
| Rank 5 | Sanctuary Emblem | Does not come into play often, but it can sometimes come in clutch |
| Rank 3 | Kvare’s Gift | While neither are slotted end game, early game progression can mildly improved by taking “Victory Before Battle”, however if you have no preference, “Kvare’s Gift” is better because of the %HP and because the skill itself can be used to cheese some scenarios |
| Rank 1 | Will of Victory | Main skill slotted most of the time |
| Loadout | Skills | Notes |
| General | ![]() | Kvare’s collection provides solid support instant skills and non instant damaging aoe skills that apply dots during Ult downtime at no cost, allowing more frequent casts of Roster. |
| ST 5 Stars | ![]() | Excessive NRG costs makes Conviction largely unviable for regular use until 5 stars where the first cast of Roster refunds all your NRG, allowing you to spend it on using Conviction on Rostered targets, applying Wither for additional damage. |
| Weapons | ||||
| Best | Nightmare Puppet | Buffs both Kvare’s piercing and those of other units, as well as applies occasionally useful debuffs | ||
| Optional 1 | Diffusing Prism | M.ATK + boost to his direct initial hits | ||
| Optional 2 | Starry Sky Heritage | Raw M.ATK affects everything. The HP boost is also nice. | ||
| Trinket | ||||
| Best | Shield of Justice | Provides both great stats and improved bulk. Synergizes with his shield reaction | ||
| Usable | Origin Hourglass | Generic raw stats | ||
| Tarots | ||||
| Best | ![]() Devil Or Death | Devil is best for mob heavy stages while Death directly increases his initial piercing but only by 13%. Death paired with Diffusing can speed up stages | ||
| Optional 1 | Hanged Man | Provides 20% DoT, which is great for longer fights without depending on killing enemies for stacks | ||
| Filler | Fortune | Only to be used if you don't have any of the other 3. Fortune provides random buffs/healing/piercing damage/nrg | ||
| Engraving | ||||
| Best | ![]() | Good generic stats | ||
| Optional | ![]() | For Rain CD reset, though a bit unreliable/clunky | ||
| Unit/Skill/Buff Interactions | ||
| End of turn Roaster | It can lock on to untargetable units and which can be used to apply nightmare puppet | |
