The New Player Quick Guide

Level 4: Upon finishing the tutorial, youâll have access to at least 21 pulls in your mail. While this section will focus on progression mainly, it is worth noting a couple things about banners since this is a gacha game.
- All new players have a âDestinedâ dual banner of Col/Beryl that
lasts for around a month. AVOID this banner, as it is outdated.
Shown in the rectangle to the right.
- New players usually want to focus on the âDebutâ banner, as they
are most often the new unit and may be good. Refer to the tier list
section for confirmation of a good tier.
- The Guaranteed banner ensures a random SSR unit within 30 pulls.
However, you want to hold off on this until you are certain the current
Debut or future Debut afterwards is not a high priority pull. Ideally,
new players reroll to get an excellent unit on Debut with enough hope luxites left over to dump into Guaranteed without issue, as other content will refill them.
- Astral Imprints are special SSR gear that are themed around the
debut unit. However, these can be gotten for free eventually through
a later system/currency (Astral Shards, spendable in the gear shop), and you should AVOID spending any pulls on this banner.
- Regarding banner rates, refer to Banners/Summoning for additional
details.

Before we go into progression, some redeem codes will be listed here and updated.

Level 4-6: Return back to the âFoolâs Journeyâ main campaign and start progressing until 0-7, where the game forces you back into the main menu.
During these stages, it is recommended to keep the unit âCrimson Falcon,â as
the game provides you with free dupe shards for her, as well as the simple fact
she is a solid unit to utilize in the early game due to her 5 base movement and Ability to jump over gaps/ledges and deal sufficient damage to take out squishy Units. Feel free to utilize any other unit in any free deployment slots, such as
âDarklight Fire Priestâ for range + MAXHP% scorch. It does not matter much, but the  magic damage and scorch debuff will be useful early against the physical
shield and mitigation units that are common early on. Otherwise, you can use a breaker class unit for extra damage against many of them, since they are often defenders. In the meantime, letâs go over class strengths/weaknesses and some other mechanics quickly.

Breakers deal extra damage against defenders. >
Breakers deal less damage against seekers.

Seekers deal extra damage against breakers. >
Seekers deal less damage against defenders.

Defenders deal extra damage against seekers. >
Defenders deal less damage against breakers.
Destroyers have no extra damage bonuses against any class, but to compensate, they have significantly higher stats than average.
Destroys deal less damage against Watchers.
Watchers deal extra damage against destroyers, but do not deal less damage to any class. To compensate for having no weaknesses, they usually have below average base stats.

>
Dealing a back attack against an enemy deals extra damage.
While dealing damage from high ground of at least 2 tiles higher, apply a 15% ATK bonus to the damage for non-AoE attacks/skills. The game shows this as [Highland]. Both of these attack methods also award extra tactic points (TP), the resource for Tactics, the âsummonerâs spellsâ of the game.
Standing at a higher elevation, like with Eddaâs box skill , and attacking enemies from above counts the elevation from the top of the box; elevation is not predetermined by the underlying tile, but adjusted according to objects.
It should be mentioned that the class strength/weaknesses are not ironclad references when it comes to team building and is just a general system to keep in mind. Units are valued more so for the mechanics they provide than class distinctions the majority of the time, and it is common for units, especially newer, to fulfill similar roles to other classes, such as defenders who may play more like a DPS despite being associated as a tank class, or breakers who play more like tanks despite their association as a DPS.
0-7 : The game introduces you to the Spirals of Destinies game mode. It is a separate game mode that holds the core storyline and setting of the game, with its own systems and scaling. The reward for doing SoD is myriad resources, especially hope luxites. There is also a time-gated event mission called âDawnâ located in the Events page. SoD is generally an activity you do when you run out of stamina and want to continue playing or want to complete certain missions in the main game
that require progression in SoD for rewards, since the mode itself requires no stamina (with exceptions). It is best to ignore this mode for now, though.
At this stage of progression, the Event page is unlocked, so letâs take
a look. It appears at the top-right, under your resources on the main menu.
You should go through each tab and familiarize yourself with what event tabs there are and make sure you receive login rewards. Two particular things new players want to eye are the âDawnâ quests, which last one month from account creation, and the âPromise of Secret Fates,â which provides up to 30 pulls, 10 per 10 levels.
When you first enter Spirals of Destinies, you come across âEternal Awakening,â a new, permanent game mode that functions more like an event.
Ignore it and start tapping the arrow to the left twice to get to
the normal SoD mode. While you don't need to do it now, it is
at least recommended to do a couple stages later, as it will
unlock the âDestiny Tracesâ UI in the main menu, which
provides the rewards for progression for the base SoD and
âNight Crimsonâ SoD, which is a prequel to the main
SoD story. If you try to do the âNight Crimsonâ SoD without
first completing a few of the base SoD stages, the UI will
not pop up, leaving you confused.
Afterward, since âNight Crimsonâ is a prequel and strictly
separate from the base SoD, you can do runs of both
Simultaneously (and this is, in fact, the pattern for all the SoD modes; if you can tab between them on that first menu, they
can be run in tandem). Progression is separate, and compared
to the base SoD, âNight Crimsonâ is linear and requires no
brain-wracking decision-making, so it's a good mode for trace
rewards. However, it is still recommended to at least
finish off the âDawnâ missions, which require base SoD progression.
As mentioned before, though, ignore SoD and return back to the âFoolâs Journeyâ campaign for now.
0-8: Make sure your units are properly leveled with the common EXP currency provided to you. Leveling in this game primarily does not come from clearing stages, but from using this currency. After completing the stage, you will be prompted to start ranking up your units.
Ranking up is available every 5 character levels, with levels 5/15/25/35/45/55 providing skills.
Don't hesitate to at least unlock the rank itself with materials. However, selecting skills properly is important because you can not undo your choice. You can refer to the individual
character pages or the guides of other content creators such as HawkyGaming. Checigrith also has some flash card-style image guides and will until all their content is available in the Yapdoc.
Important. While you canât undo a skill allocation, you can choose the other skill as well, at the cost of castalia, which look like ->

These are rare resources, of which you can expect an average of 2-3 or so monthly from events or as one-time rewards from basic progression. These should be saved and only used on good SSR units that often want to use anywhere from 1-3 castalia. For the time being, letâs take the âCo-Defenseâ skill for Maitha since she gets the same effect of the âGuardâ skill shortly later under the effects of another one
of her skills. We will also take âAmbushâ for Crimson Falcon
and âFlame Shockâ for Darklight Fire Priest, if you use him.
Now, head back to the main menu and click on the trophy.
Click âClaim All,â and you will receive various rewards, notably the 300 voyager EXP and 60 hope luxites. At this stage of progression, however, you will be 10 activity points off from the final reward of 60 luxites, so come back later to claim it. You want to make sure you complete this every day to level. Account level is directly tied to stamina usage and quest rewards. Check below Daily under Feats for extra luxites too.
Now, letâs go back to Foolâs Journey once more and complete the last stretch toward level 10 for the 10 free pulls from the event section, âPromise of Secret Fates.â
You can path upward, and completing the upper missions to the end
will grant you level 10 as well as some extra luxites from
the chest reward. Otherwise, you can path downward and
still get level 10.
Once you complete 0-9, you will unlock âCrossing Worlds.â
Ignore it, return back to the âFool's Journeyâ missions,
and aim to complete 0-10
Chapter 1: After you complete 1-1, you will be introduced to character shards, which result from dupes in the gacha or from mission rewards. In Sword of Convallaria, you do not need to pull extra copies to rank up character stars for their traits. There is a separate farming stage later to gain a steady supply of selected character shards. For now, increase Crimson Falconâs rank to 2.
Refer to the Memory Shard
section of Game Progression later once you
unlock the stage for extra important details.
After you complete 1-2, you will unlock Voyage Momento, which is the main focus of early game progression for new players.
Voyage Momento : Located at the left side of the main menu. The section is divided
Into 3 sections, but you only need to focus on âDevelopâ and âImpact.â
Completing all âDevelopâ missions will automatically grant completion of all
âResourceâ missions. âImpactâ usually entails completing the crucial farm stages.

There are often endurance potions in the rewards of âResource Missions,â as shown below. Also, âImpactâ missions are a bit of a lengthy grind very early, as it will require completing 15 stages just for the [Rank-Up Trial] portion, and a few for the [Level-Up Training], but itâs recommended to fulfill the completion for these immediately.
For [Rank-Up Trial], complete the first stage of each of the different trials in order to receive an additional endurance potion from the âFeatsâ section of the regular Quest section. You also get a second one after you complete the level 10 stages.
Once you hit level 20, you can start entering event stages. It is recommended to do as many stages of the time-limited events as you can, especially the daily extra rewards to buy out as much of the event shop as possible. Here are the priorities for more basic reward shops.

Main priorities:

Second:
Later game progression items: Start stocking up on these because they can become bottlenecks later in the game. You will want Unnamed Stars until you have filled out the whole radiant level of the star talent progression system, you will always want more platinum rank medals, and legendary radiant ores are thrown at you more quickly than you can use them in the late game, but early on, it helps to stock up enough to immediately raise gear over lv50 as soon as your voyager level is high enough.

The rest of progression onwards can be found in the other pages such as Game Progression . Even early on, other game modes like Tower of Conquest are relevant, so donât dawdle, good luck, and have fun!
As a TL;DR, though, let Voyage Momento dictate general Fool's Journey progression, while spending excess stamina in event sweeps. You can ease down on Foolâs Journey progression around level 45, when you complete 8-5 in Foolâs Journey to unlock engravings, after which you can focus more on events even further. You will still want to push to 9-5 soon to unlock Ascensions, and Foolâs Journey is full of solid rewards and side stories (mostly essentially âechoesâ of past events to give more prequel content), so you have a long journey ahead.
